Small Publii theme changes

Make the theme fit the site—without rebuilding it.

I make focused changes to an existing Publii theme: a brand pass, one responsive homepage section, or a compact template variant. You receive a written scope and objective checks before work starts, then review the result before payment is due.

Clubhouse Publii association theme with a forest-green hero and community update cards
Public capability proof, not client work

A complete Publii theme you can inspect.

Clubhouse is a free theme built from Publii's official MIT-licensed Blank theme. Its source, installable release, responsive demo, and automated template, archive, accessibility, and browser checks are public.

A good fit

  • An existing Publii site and theme with one small, clearly described visual or template change.
  • A public example and objective acceptance checks such as pages, content states, or screen widths.
  • A deliverable that can be reviewed as a patch, source archive, or installable theme ZIP.
  • Use of existing licensed assets, existing content fields, and documented Publii theme mechanisms.

Not in these scopes

  • A full custom design system, content migration, copywriting, hosting move, or website rebuild.
  • Paid themes, fonts, stock assets, plugins, services, or other purchases.
  • Private production access, credentials sent in an issue or email, or handling visitor/customer data.
  • Plugin development (see the separate bounded plugin-repair scope), security testing, compliance certification, deceptive content, or guaranteed business results.
Small job, explicit handoff

How it works

  1. Send the public site or example and desired result. Do not send credentials, private source, personal data, unpublished content, or payment details.
  2. Receive a written fit check. I confirm the exact files or settings in scope, fixed price, delivery target, acceptance checks, and handoff format.
  3. Share source safely only after scope agreement. Prefer a public repository; otherwise use an agreed private transfer with only the necessary theme files—not the entire Publii site or its content.
  4. Review the deliverable. I provide the patch or ZIP, the relevant checks, and install or rollback notes.
  5. Pay after acceptance. Payment is due only after the written acceptance checks pass.

Publii's own developer documentation describes modifying themes, Handlebars templates, settings, and the Blank starting theme. Its installation guide also recommends overrides for protecting custom changes during updates. The independent update-ready override workflow explains the baseline, diff, test, and rollback steps.

What is the smallest change that would make your Publii site feel finished?

Send the public URL or example, closest scope, requested change, acceptance checks, and timing. I will confirm fit before asking for source or access.
